The Baby is Here!

 Here is our little guy!  Dan is still on the road but I've been texting him pictures CONSTANTLY!  I also sent him a video of baby laughing and it made him cry.  He so badly wishes he were here.  Obviously, I do too!  It's been tough.  Sometimes I wonder what in the world I have gotten myself into.

He is five months old and he has a very unique name so we've decided to keep it private.  He arrived yesterday and I didn't have anything I needed save for a package of size 1 diapers and package of wipes.  He didn't have any bottles but I did get a half can of his formula.  We went to Target and I got him some bottles, lotion, and a few other little things.  Some friends (and even a Twitter friend  -- hi, @Monstergirlee!) brought over some baby boy clothes.  He had a rough first night.  We woke up every 2 hours and had a bottle.  He was so hungry and I bet he was really stressed out.

Today I found out that he LOVES music and it made me so happy!  I have a stuffed lion that was mine when I was a baby.  It plays "This Old Man" and I put it in his crib [at 4am - YAY] and he loved it.  So, this afternoon I played him my iPod with Sigur Ros and The Technicolors and The Beatles and it put him right to sleep.  Today he was so happy and giggley and ate a ton!  Then tonight he went to bed, easy peasy.

I love him!  He is so sweet.  I cant wait for Dan to meet him.  I have tears in my eyes just thinking about it.  I am so grateful to my friends and family who have been giving me tips and checking on me.  My mom and sisters get here tomorrow and the baby shower is Saturday.  We are expecting a big crowd!  I cant wait.
