Port Gamble, from what we could tell, is a tiny tourist town that is perfect for weddings. You feel like you've gone back in time when you arrive. The bride and groom exchanged vows and rings at an old chapel and just down the street, at the pavilion, we played badminton and croquet on the lawn while sipping lemonade from mason jars. We all talked about moving to Port Gamble and raising our children there, sending them off to a one-room school house to do arithmetic on chalkboards while we stayed home to churn butter. (Creepy? More like...awesome.)
We danced, we ate, we laughed, we perused the Shell Museum at the General Store, and we sauntered through a mid 19th-centruy cemetery. It was a great day!
I wore my Maid of Honor dress for my best friends wedding (that isn't until August). Might as well, eh? It will need to be dry-cleaned and steamed anyway. I paired it with a cardigan, pashmina and tights to sort of dress it down. Dan wore what Dan always wears.

We danced around like idiots, which is the best part of any wedding - besides the holy union of two beautiful souls, of course. I hope we get to see the wedding video. Dan was dancing around so wildly that I could not get a clear photo. (Note that his tie is being worn as a headband). Weddings are my favorite. Especially when so many of our dear friends are in attendance. Fun times! Congratulations, Christian and Andie! It was an honor.
XOXO,
