Well... I'm one month away from turning 30! This 30 Before 30 list was much more ambitious than I thought it was. A year really does fly by so fast. See also: I can't believe that BB will be 2! It seems like his first birthday was just a few months ago.
So, if I'm honest with myself... #3 (visit Canada), #13 (take some piano or bass lessons) and #26 (buy some stock) are probably not going to happen. Excuses: I seem to have lost my passport, I am not musically inclined and we are saving for a house. The ones that are in light grey are in the works. The other ones? Who knows!
- Sew something using a pattern
- Make my own sushi
- Visit Canada (again)
Visit Nashville- Run another half marathon
- Take the train somewhere new
Go on a snowboarding trip with DanDo some local mission work- Hike in a rain forest
Save $XX,000 for a down-payment on a house- Get my camera cleaned
Write letters to my husband while he's on tour- Take some real piano or bass lessons
- Make a homemade alphabet book for BB
- Watch every movie that stars Marilyn Monroe
Re-read The Great Gatsby before the movie comes outGo to a midnight showing of a movieRenew my wedding vowsBuy a pair of ridiculously expensive shoesVisit the capital - of anythingMake an informed vote this November- Buy a fish or a lobster from Seattle's Pike Place Market and cook it myself
Take a dip in some hot springs- Create a good, artistic film
Go to a sold-out mega-concert- Buy some stock(s)
- Go thrift-store shopping regularly
- Go to all 5 of Tacoma's museums (4/5)
- Go on a backpacking trip / an overnight hike
- Make people laugh
Was my last year of my 20s my best? Possibly. I didn't take a lot of vacations. I didnt seize the day everyday. I got a lot of good sleep, though. Ha! I know that my 30 - 31 year will be incredible. There are a lot of fun things coming up, like: our 10 year anniversary, BB's 2nd birthday, a Mediterranean cruise and my brother's wedding! So, for the next 30 days I might spend less time worrying about my 30 before 30 list and more time getting excited for the future.
XOXO!
Yay! I turned 30 in January and I love being 30. It's not bad at all. Also, I've gone to CameraTechs in Ballard to clean my sensor (I have an older Canon 30D) and they were great.
