Ocean Park, WA - Nana's 72nd Birthday

Happy birthday to my, Nana! We ate at El Compadre in Long Beach, Nana's favorite. Then we stopped at Jack's Country Store in Ocean Park to get her favorite dessert: a peach pie. We were STUFFED. To walk it off, Dan, my brother and I took my dog, Bisou, to the beach.  We were the only people who braved the weather to go see the beach. But, I'm glad we did. I love this place; I love the solitude and the unexpected beauty of gray skies and stormy seas.

Boys Senior Portraits

When I officially started LMR Photography last year, I hadn't done many portraits for guys. Girls are easy. They know exactly what they want, where they want to go, how they want to dress, pose, smile. Sit them in front of a bed of flowers and they smile perfectly and the photos turn out great. Guys, on the other hand, haven't really thought about what they want. This can be good or bad. It can either be very difficult to get them comfortable and get them to enjoy themselves. Or, it can be a lot of fun being creative and trying lots of different things. Just depends on the kid. Luckily I've had some great kids the past few months and I'm pleased with the results.
